Welcome to Carenci Corgis

Who Are

We?

After decades of owning and loving this wonderful breed, Carenci Corgis was established as a registered Dogs Australia (formerly ANKC) kennel in 2016 by Becky Wilson. Our Pembroke Corgis compete in the conformation show ring, dog sports, and herding—but most importantly, they are cherished family companions who bring endless joy to our lives.

My love for the Pembroke Corgi has fostered a deep commitment to preserving the integrity and heritage of the breed standard.

Every mating is thoughtfully planned with careful consideration of health, type, and temperament, ensuring that our puppiesare both true to breed and exceptional lifelong companions.

Originally bred as Welsh cattle dogs, Pembroke Corgis thrive on an active lifestyle. Living on a cattle property in Central Queensland, our dogs enjoy the unique benefit of daily farm life— riding on the buggy, exploring the paddocks,  and confidently reminding the bulls who’s boss from the other side of the fence. Under strict supervision and with appropriate training, they are occasionally allowed to herd younger stock, embracing the practical work their breed was designed for.

I am also passionate about participating in conformation shows alongside other dedicated purebred dog enthusiasts. We have attended the last three National Corgi Shows— Sydney 2019, Melbourne 2022, and Adelaide 2025— with success and, more importantly, with the opportunity to study pedigrees and evaluate dogs from many respected kennels. Seeing dogs in person—their structure, movement, and temperament—is invaluable in guiding responsible breeding decisions. As a breeder, I believe in understanding the history and pedigrees behind our lines while staying informed about current influential dogs in Australia and abroad. This helps shape the direction of our breeding program.

We don’t choose “flavour of the month” dogs—we choose dogs that genuinely complement our bitches and contribute positively to our future.

At Carenci Corgis, we breed with the future in mind. Puppies are occasionally available, and I encourage families interested in the breed to reach out for a chat or arrange a visit to meet our Corgi crew.

We look forward to sharing the joy of this remarkable breed with you.
